16VS are very often fopud with bad valve guides and valve seals which are attached toe hte guides, my rocco had a head refurbish job. regrounds vavles, regrounds valve seats, and new guide fixedthed oil consumption issue. buthe oil issue was from the guides notthe valves or seats. but that was all that was done. not rings or anything like that

if u need a head gasket I would recommend using a multi layer steel one from tectonics. theey are only 5$ more
