Where are all the places online that I should be looking? I am having a difficult time finding stuff in this region of the country (KS/MO) and am willing to travel to a Salt Free state for one.
So what are some other Message Boards, Forums, whatever that specialize in Cabrios and or VW in general.
Help me please

TIA

Re: Searching for a Cabrio need advice (DJayhawk)

this is the place for you to find a cabby
browse the MKI board
try your local craigslist.com
and drive around.... these things are always on the side
of the road with for sale signs on em.

Re: Searching for a Cabrio need advice (exboy99)

No craigs.com list for Kansas City. I've been keeping my eyes open for anything locally being sold.
Sorry to sound like a noob, but what is MKI?
Thanks for the help!

Mk1 is the first generation of rabbits and Jetta's. all cabriolets are built on this chassis until 1993, when they started being built on the 93-97 golf/jetta platform. In 93, cabriolets became known as cabrio's.

Re: Searching for a Cabrio need advice (protzler)

eBay (overpriced, usually)
autotrader.com (not bad, nationwide)
cars.com (not bad, nationwide)
yourlocalnewspapersonlineclassifiedsection (.com)
keep a pen and paper in the car and chase down any cabby you see. leave a note on the window with your phones number asking if they want to sell. this behaviour may appear stalker-esque but youll get responses and with luck youll find somebody who is pissed off with the car and calls you with a good deal.
