First, flattery. This forum is an amazing (free) resource, both for the knowlege and the $$$ savings with all of the group buys. The only problem is that I don't *really* belong here.
I am the owner of a Honda Civic Si (please don't hold that against me, I was young) and am trying to sell it as an ends to getting into a 2k2 GTI. I would like to know what methods any readers have used to unload their current vehicle, specifically by selling it themselves. Did you use an online service like autotrader.com or thebiglot.com and did it work?
I thank you and hope to be a new VW owner very soon.

Using online resources such as http://www.autotrader.com, http://www.cars.com and http://www.autoweb.com can give you national exposure when it comes to selling your car. I would also get a CarFax check done on your car so you can advertise that it has a clean title with proof.
You shouldn't have too much trouble selling your Civic Si given the lukewarm initial response to the new Civic Si. I would guess there are a fair number of Honda drivers out there that would like to get their hands on the "old" model.
