agreed.
ESPECIALLY friends that are driving their non-VW/Audi cars. I just wish we could keep the VW/Audi events strictly VW/Audi...... this is not a Nopi show and not tower shops. If you have friends that don't own a VW/Audi, thats cool, but do they each have to come in their own riced-out cars???? Not to sound like a little b*tch, but this is happening too often frequently, and i don't want the GTG's (as well as the tuesday night meetings) to get de-valued....

This comment flat-out pisses me off.....
unfortunately its this kind of attitude that makes the attendance of the GTG's so sporatic.... thats why everyone's not there at one time (for a photo or whatever), b/c people come at all different times for like an hour. Not to mention people come at like 2 p.m. just for the free food, then tail out of there after only hanging around for a half hour.... i saw at least 10 cars spend less than 45 minutes there. And almost everyone ate. That's kind of sad. I think Steve is on to something here...... maybe if they did charge a small admission fee (to cover the price of the food), it would get rid of the freeloaders..... (i
LOVE to see a lot of VW and Audi's coming together, but half of them being there just for free food
really kills the vibe, a lot of negativity and brevity running rampant.....) People aren't expected to spend all day there..... but more than an hour of your day once every two months isn't too much to ask.....
...and about the food.... we know we were short on the food, the person in charge of bringing the hamburger patties did not show, and already apologized for it. Nevertheless, we did manage to scrub up some money out of the donation bucket and make a grocery-store run and pick up some more patties, and countless hamburger and hotdog buns (..as well as more hotdogs)..... so technically we didn't run out.... if some people just would have stayed for the re-fuel
...and lastly about the speeding.... i was pissed because i got a
serious earful from the park attendants twice... i am no ambassador or leader for the GTG's, but frankly, (and not to sound like a prude), i'm
all-for the speed-traps in the park. Anyone who wants to do a burn-out AT the GTG is a f*cking moron in my opinion. Who are you trying to impress? We all have VW/Audi's, we
know what they can do. There is a time and place to race, and its on the street or at the track - not in a nationally protected reserve.... Not to mention you don't think you can't hear a peel-out all the way at the gates of the park? Considering i was hearing it throughout the whole day, i'm surprised the cops didn't arrest anyone. It's about image folks. We are acting as ambassadors for VW/Audi, and you want to make VW/Audi look like a bunch of thugs or hoodlums?? Remember we're better than the competition, so lets reflect that image. Again, not to sound like an old man, but damn, this is plain common sense.....
BTW Bud, nice pics.... i'm going to buy you a tripod to help you level-out your camera. either that or a straight-edge, LoL......
Vickers, i was wondering where you were...... 3 people asked me if you were there.
Anyways, to everyone else, it was an excellent GTG, many thanks to Manny & his wife for supplying majority of the food and (in his wife's case)
the labor!! She gets my vote for the most frequently un-appreciated person at each GTG! Thanks to Jim for offering his services (maybe we get an UPsolute sponsorship next event and/or UPsolute banner????) and Chris for the downpipe sales....... i was thinking how great would that be if we are able to set up a swap-meet area?
peace out... "catch you on the flip side", as Wilson Tai (with black turbo) always says.......
