Hey guys
after many months of hard work my GTi is finally where i want it to be!
Aside from a few odds and ends (rear wiper assembly, gas filler door, some interior components and other random stuff) she's DONE

Let me know what you guys think!
I'll post some photos after she's been cleaned and waxed (it's been raining for the past 3 days straight where i live
)
You can check out a few of the progress pics in my other thread here: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2092015

wow man, that paint came out real nice... http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
is it the camera that makes them all look blue-ish, or just an effect you did?

I think it's just the camera and the lighting outside right now
the camera has a decent resolution and the bigger pics look great but photobucket automatically resized them

very nice, i personally feel that side molding accents a2's but your car pulled no molding off really well. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

+1... I was thinking the same thing.
And trust me... youre not done. Youre never done when you're an enthusiast.

looks good, so what exactley did u do?

I shaved the side mouldings, banana markers, and rear VW emblem. I also replaced the windshield, repaired all the dents and rust, re-painted all the black trim and gave it a fresh respray of tornado red. Also i went from lame teardrops to some BBS RA's

Yeah i do actually
you can't really tell as much in these pics
but around the windshield was REALLY rusty
and the combonation of faded paint and peeling clear-coat isn't so fantastic haha
these pictures don't really do it any justice because you can't make out any of the dents or rust spots that really needed to be attended too.
