Does anyone have experience running a Shine RSB with Bilstein HD's (as Shine recommends) but using stock springs?
I drive 40,000 miles/ year and do not want too rough of a ride, nor do I want to lower the car. I am looking for a better handling and mor confident feeling car without getting pounded.
I forsee that the system combination could be overdamped, but the current stock configuration is certainly underdamped.

There is a really detailed / technical thread here about a user 'pyce' experimenting w/ variations of the Shine setup to improve ride quality w/o sacrificing handling TOO much ...
It involves varying the rear spring rates somehow ... and dampening ...
