Well you guys know I have the GC KONI setup... So tell me are H&R coilover a shortened strut... because that is what is limiting my height and making the ride so damn rough... my struts are squished alllll the way down. I have a freind with a Teg and he has shortened struts for his coilovers and the car is slammed and he has like 3 inches he can still go... Im just wondering could you guys let me know??
Koni sells shortened struts - I think they come with the dual-adjustability conversion. Cost an arm & a leg, though - probably the same price to get a set of true coilovers.
I'm sure any reputable coilover (like the H&R) have struts sized properly for an application that's dropped 1.5 to 2.25 inches.
How far are you dropped? Even with shortened struts, there's not much you can do if you're trying to drive around with a 3.5" drop. The only way to do that is have insane spring rates so you don't bottom out the suspension. And then you'll need rebuilt custom shocks to keep the springs in check.
When all is said & done right on a 3" drop, you'll have a slammed ride with about an inch of suspension travel (guesstimate). Springs & shocks will be so stiff to keep from bottoming out, you'll be barely streetable. It'll kick ass on the track, though.
Yea I have about a 3 inch drop as of now... I dunno though I like how low my rear goes and I see everyone with coilovers tucking there speedlines... I cant tuck my stockies. I emailed GC because I paid the same amount for my setup as a set of regular coilovers. Because right now I think I am almost bottoming out... Hummm anyone have just a front set of FK fully adjustables for sale???? Oh jeez guys I do have too much time on my hands Ahhhhhh
