Should I strip it clean?

Hi fellows.....just wanted to know if someone could help me out on a dilema of mine......I want to repaint my corrado the same color....pearl green, but I dont know if I should strip the old paint of or just put a fresh coat over it......and where could I go that is cost effecient? Thanks to all.....

dont know much about painting but i would think that alteast the clearcoat should come off before a respray.
