If you want a car you can mod, why not buy a used (read cheap) car? It would be much more economical to modify an A2 GTI, than it would to buy a new car, and possibly void the warranty (Subaru might do that to you, as might VW). And heck, you would save money in the process!

yes , but not everyone can gut/rebuild/replace/install everything/know how to do everything to a car. for those people, modding an A2 gti might prove a little tough or lame
