My neighbor down the street has an '80s S-Class with this same sticker.

I think that was factory from the W140 and later? My W126/C126 560SEC had that sticker in the windshield, and I thought it was cool, but I think the previous owner added it.

This 'FWD' lettering was used only on models with a manual transmission. That window was for the PRNDL display on the automatic-equipped cars. Rather than make a different cluster housing without that window for the stick shift cars, Chrysler saved money and simply put the wording in that window instead.

Difficult to find pix of originals as most are repops.

I don't know what "going HAM" means, but HAM is the name of the factory where those engines were installed.

HMA = Honda Manufacturing of America (Ohio)

HAM = Hard as a Mofo:laugh:
