How much horsepower does the rabbit have, like in cabriolet form?

What year is your convertible? 1980 had a 1.6 liter 78hp engine.
1981-83 had a 1.7 74hp engine like mine.
1983-1989 had the 1.8 90 hp engine. All have CIS fuel injuection.
1990-1992 had a 1.8 hydrolic head and made 94 hp with the Digifant Fuel Injection.
If you are looking for more power there are many engines to choose from to swap in. You could also drop a 2 liter short block out of an Audi 80 or an A3 2 liter under a 1.8 head.
