i just got a '93 corrado slc with 125K miles. One problem i have noticed is that when i park and turn the key all the way to the left, then engine will cut off, but the radio remains on and the seat belts don't move forward. But if i pull the key partially out and jiggle it some, then everything turns off normally. Does anyone know what could be causing this? just an intermitent switch?

the radio is wired to be on at all times, you always have to shut it off. go out one day and just turn it on, and it will turn on. the seatbelts move up when the key is removed

but sometimes i can take the key all the way out and the seatbelts don't move. and if the radio is wired to be on all the time, then why does it turn off when i jiggle the key instead of having to push the off button? it is not the stock radio by the way.

Heh... this was pretty funny.
He took the key out of the ignition, the lights and everything stayed on, including the radio. He put the key back in, jiggled it around, and then everything turned off.
Weird.

Everything is fine,no reason for worries.Stock VW wiring.
Its supposed to have "off-key" or retained acessory power.when you open the door this shuts everything off.
