Re: Sick of the ITG filter...what is the K&N that fits the eurosport Coolflow? (Justin Osman)

ive done this... works fine, if not better. i looked at my k&n and the only nubers on it were: F030A6 or F030AG... although i'm not 100% sure this is the part number. I pretty sure it's the same k&n that go on the nospeed P-flow and ABD Q-flow... hope this helps

quote:

Just go here http://www.knfilters.com/universal.htm Then match up a filter to whatever size you need or will fit under the hood. I ended up Buying one with a carbon compsite end cap. RF-1047 is the code.

What's the biggest that will fit? The recommend as long as possible and as wide as possible for max filtration.

LOL. To "86" something is to get rid of or cancel something. It's largely used in the restaurant industry, as in "86 that order."

ITG is used extensively throughout Europe in rally and F1, so it's as good, if not better, than good ol' K&N. There's talk in the G4 forum that the K&N oil can actually ruin your MAF sensor, whereas the sticky ITG stuff stays put in the filter. True or not, I prefer the ITG design and the Cool-Flo system that comes with it through Euro Sport.

Re: Sick of the ITG filter...what is the K&N that fits the eurosport Coolflow? (Doug Brekke)

in the winter, the itg isn't the best solution. it takes on a lot of moisture, which sets my ce light off with more frequency than r kelly at a all girls catholic high school.
and yes, it did oil it before the wintercame on.
I'm just looking for a winter alternative.
I can say that after 60k miles of having it on, its starting to melt a little in the front corner...
anyways, thanks, I'll look those apart numbers up and see what works.

Oil, heat and foam don't mix, you will all find this out the hard way. Excellent R Kelly joke, 1st I've heard I think, lol. 86 came from a restaurant that was here in NYC. When they had an unruly guest, they would throw them out of the back entrance to the place which was #86 on that street, hence "86". lol
