I was wondering if one of you out there has a picture of the Samco silicone hose kit installed on a 1.8t, Preferably blue.

thanx man, it does look pritty. Does the engine cover fit with the hoses or would it cover them up? And how much did it cost?

never tried putting the cover back on....but it would fit..the kit you can buy for under $200.. it includes 5 hoses

i see 3 of 5 hoses exposed... where does the elbow and the shorty go?
elbow > replace pancake pipe?
shorty > tb to manifold?

Yeah, friend of mine just put the hoses on. The install wasnt to bad. He didnt really notice a performance gain though.

The elbow goes at the turbo output to hard pipe where diverter valve is connected. The small straight piece goes where the pancake pipe is.
Benefit: well the pipes are smoother so you get better flow. Plus the hoses live longer, especially from heat. They are rated to 250 deg. C
So they would outlast the car. Plus they have almost twice the burst pressure.
