Actually, it should be almost possible to just bypass the low beam wiring around the high beam switch. Normally both high and low are fed through there to make the cutoff (the switch is a double-throw, so it's either feeding low or high beam terminals). The obvious problem is that's 2x the current the wiring is meant to handle, so you can install relays to power the high beams. I'd start with the Current flow diagrams in the Bentley, since the cars are wired a bit differently.
Shouldn't require more than basic electronics knowledge for any reason I can see. Can anyone explain why it's more complicated than that?
