I am getting graphics put on my Beetle, and my designer needs dimensions for all parts of the car. He also needs sketches of the car. Can anybody help me on this? I called VW of America, and they were no help.

You might try just scanning the picture on the cover of the Bentley manual.

Your graphics guy is obviously not up with the times, Being a graphic designer for a sign compny one of the first things I get every year is an updated version of a car and truck program for that year. This program has almost every car and truck with a full sketch (to scale) of the front, left side, right side, rear, and roof. My company does mostly box trucks, and tractors for major companys not so much cars, but it's a program that any decent graphics company would have. My suggestion would be to find a graphics shop who has a program for designing cars, your graphics will come out alot cleaner, (you won't find your self comming up short where seems have to be or too long, having to trim off excess) and the job will be alot cheaper,(less time fiddling with dimensions in front of the computer). Yes we do factor in time spent in front of the computer

If there was a way I could help you out I would, however the program is not something i'm able to copy or upload for future downloading. The best I could give you is a print out. which wouldn't help with dimensions. it's as if you were to bring him a regular picture. Good luck.
