Slave Cylinder Installation Questions

When installing a slave cylinder on a VR6 do you have to bleed the lines? Is the fluid in the lines the same as a the brake fluid? And is this the one that bolts to the tranny?
Please help so I can fix for Waterfest!!!
Thanks.

OK its all in, but I need to know the technique to bleeding the lines? Please I'm doing this as you read.
Re: Slave Cylinder Installation Questions (jkcorradovr6)

To bleed a slave you do it the same way as if you were bleeding brakes. Pump the pedal to build some pressure. open the bleeder. It also helps when you open the bleeder to push on the piston on the slave to get a better bleed

Do I have to bleed the clutch master cylinder at all?
Re: Slave Cylinder Installation Questions (jkcorradovr6)

My slave install went very smooth. Just handed him a bottle of simple green and armor all and he keeps the Rado all shiny.

I've been doing this for an hour, My dad called it quits. I'll try tomorrow. I'm going to try to bleed the clutch master cylinder.
