laziness? still no mention of the new AWD 1.8T passat or, for that matter, any of the 04.5 running changes.

They never update that site in time. It took them almost 6 months to put the new 03, then 04 models on the site AFTER the cars had already been available.
Also, what's up with VW being one of the few manufactures that don't ADVERTISE their new incoming product lines BEFORE they arrive? *sigh* I just don't understand their marketing.

They do, but they do it quietly. There is a link on their site called "new models" that had the NB Cabrio, Phaeton, and Touareg on it for months now (before the cars arrived) although I expected that at least one of those would be off the "new models" list by now and the R32 listed.

I know and I thought advertising for the Corrado was sparse.
But I don't think the R32 needs the advertising, right?

VW does pretty good keeping their VW loyalists informed, but if they want to start attracting and bringing in new blood, they should rethink their marketing strategy. Old blood is around for only so long before it dies off (sigh).
