I'm selling my Jetta and I know exactly what I want.
2002 A4 1.8T 5speed Quattro
Dolphin grey/ black leatherette
sport pack
premium pack
bose
heated seats? dont know if thats part of a pack?
AND XENONS!
but they keep telling my first of all Dolphin/ black is really hard to find, and that I mine as well just give up on finding a 1.8t with xenons.
I have about 3 dealers doing this, 1 of which is a good friend of mine and they are looking all over MI IL OH IN
still nothing,
so I'm just wondering and I totally unjust with wanting that equipment, how many people have 2002 1.8's with xenons, is it really that rare,
I really don't want to order one, but they keep telling me not to keep my hopes up
Also is thier any other options I should want that I didnt list, whats worth it?
thanks

Re: So they can't find a car for me (Uncle Carl)

Can't you place an order for an Audi with the color and options you want? Sure, you might have to put some money down and wait a few months, but it will be worth it to get the car you want.

Re: So they can't find a car for me (Uncle Carl)

Carl,
I just picked up my 02 A4 1.8T on Monday. I got rid of my 01 GTI GLX VR6. Anyways I have xenon lights, premium package, sport package, heated seats, and moonroof. I got the car for $29,500. Then I had to add in the $1,900 negative equity on my GTI. Don't listen to your dealership! I wanted Dolphin Gray with Ebony real bad too! I ended up with the Denim Blue and I actually like it better now. I wanted ebony leatherette but they only had platinum which is pretty nice. I just didn't want the beige interior. I have had black in my past two cars so this is a nice change for me. I only wish it had the Bose system.

In response to your xenon question they are out there, I had three to choose from w/in my specs. Only one was local but the other two were available. My dealership wanted my sale since a town nearby had a car that somewhat fit my specs, just missing heated seats. M dealership ended up having my car brought in via a flatbed wrecker. I agreed to pay part of the shipping cost in order to get the car but to get what you want when you want it can cost. My car was 10 hours away in WV and was brought to NC. If you get worried just tell them to search your entire region of the country and if no luck you may well just have to have your new baby built, you can always rent a car for a few months b/c the end result is definitely worth it.

I ordered mine to get exactly what i wanted. If you want to save a month, find a dealer that has a car left over from last months allocation. That's what i did. You can still change everything (except engine/transmission/quattro) as long as it hasn't gone into production yet.
If xenons is what is hindering you, you can find aftermarket ones or even better you can get euro spec versions.

I agree here. We wanted the Nogaro blue S4, and ended up waiting about 2 months for the dealer to locate one. If you are going to pay for a new car, you shouldn't have to settle for something that is not exactly what you want.

I don't know where shelby is, but if you would be willing to drive to Grand Rapids I would reccomend going to zoomautogroup.com. I think they are also affiliated with myimportcenter.com which is in Muskegon. They are very good at finding any kind of car you want. This summer I put in a request for a specific car just for the fun of it and I had an email within less then a week saying that it was on its way to the dealership and asking when I would like to test drive it. The only problem is they seem to be more expensive as they cater to a higher socio-economic group. I've seen an E55 AMG, '02 M5, 911 twin turbo AWD, RX7, jag's, aston martins, etc.

I ordered mine, took 84 days from order to delivary. Got every option except automatic. The wait sucks, but its worth it.
Have 680 miles on it so far. When will the APR chip arrive??

If you can get a car from PA then you might be in luck. See this link.

Do a search of their new car inventory and you will find a Dolphin/Ebony 1.8T. I don't know if they have the car in stock but it's worth a shot. This dealership is one of only four dealers in the US who have been selling Audi's since day one. That's over 25 years. Let me know if you are going to contact the dealer yourself. If so, I can give you a contact name.

They've got what you want in Dallas (the Audi Store)! minus the heated seats... so hop on a plane. Was going to buy one (Dolphin Gray Sedan) until I found a Black Avant with the same stuff. I pick it up this weekend.

Why don't you rent a car until yours comes in. I would to get what I wanted.
