So here's my new question : What the hell is everyone's obsession with a blow-off valve? Why do people go through such lengths just to get one? Isn't the wastegate enough? (Maybe I'm mis-informed?)
Please clarify!
that's all. you'll find like 1 in 100 people who complain that the aftermarket DV's don't get the job done, but it's rarely the case.
just for the sound...
Yeah, me, Billy, BugPower. We're all big time krautboys.
Yes, most are just getting them for the sound. But some of us who have been known to push our cars pretty card were having nothing but trouble with DV valves. The Greddy valve is a far superior valve and can even be run in DV mode so the car runs the way it should.

not trying to beef dude, but that is your opinion, i am sure there are plenty of people who would support other brands. that said, what kind of problems have you had? with what dv? mike
well, i dont have all that much done to my car and i have had nothing but problems with the dv. tried a 944 turbo dv, lasted 2,000 miles then started leaking. bought a bailey valve and the first day i installed it i got frozen open. sent it back for another one and within 3 months had to pull it a part to get it unfrozen about 15 times. just put my stock one back on until i get the HKS BOV on thurs. im only peaking at 18 psi's ......... should have held up!!!! ... oh well ..... on to a BOV
