I have a Jetta GLS with power mirrors. I want to modify it so that the passenger mirror rotates downward when you put it in reverse like on the Passat.
Some has to have done this mod. What's involved?????

It is not a mod...it is standard on a GLX!

Standard on GLX....I thought so, but I have the GLS. What would I need to get that feature on the GLS?????

This is just a guess, but maybe the VAG software could help. The mechanics are already in place, you'll just need some way of storing a preset mirror position and a way to activate the mirror when the car is put in reverse.
I have this feature on my Jetta GLX and it is incredibly useful. Try asking a dealership if they do this reprograming. If they can, it'll be worth the money. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

If i remember from earlier posts (long time ago) it had something to do with the seat configuration controls on the GLX for the Jetta that would also store the Mirror thing when in reverse.

To program the reverse mirror position, you need to hold in the memory button on the seat while the car is in reverse. I'd guess that you need the power seat to make it work. That's probably why the GTI doesn't have the feature.

Folks, it may be a standard feature for the GLX but fot a GLS it is a mod. I've asked this question before and someone mentioned that I would probably need the GLX module that controls the title feature. Take easy French is just concrened about his GLS.
