well i am new to this too BUT i think if a car has been taken care of it will be reliable but from what i hear the vr6's are more reliable. yes g60's did come with leather and mostly the things you should look for when buying one should be on the corrado-club website

ill help out as much as i can, take it for what its worth-

First decide what you want. which model. (i wont even get into a debate a million people will throw hot pokers at me). I drive a vr6 corrado. its what I wanted. I wanted a 6 cyl. I like the extra torque, and dont much care if it costs more to modify. Im my own experience I have had nothing to major go wrong with my slc. Mostly annoying things. My friends g-60 has been a pain for him. But its all in how you take care of it i guess.
If it were me i would get the following years:
g60 - 91-92
slc - 93-94
i personally stay away from the first year models. But thats just me. the 93.5 have a newer nicer interior. I got that. Some have a cold weather package. heated seats/mirrors a nozzels. The slc's are notorious for weak headgaskets and timing chain guides. they have chains not belts. Make sure it has a good service history. The g60's have problems witht he super charger. Some as common as every 30K need a rebuild. I have driven both a stock g60 and vr, and the vr slc feels much nicer IMO. pulls nicer, handles nicer, and feels more solid. IMO again.

watch for smoking exhausts. Other than that, go test drive some, and make sure the recalls have been done for the car. http://tech.vw.com has it al listed. Make your own choice on model. everyone here has a different preference. I choose the SLC. even if it costs a fortune to modify nicely. its worth it.
good luck man, and if i can help more lemme know

Here's a very similar topic:

People ask this question about once a week. Honestly, all the info you are looking for is probably on http://www.corado-club.com. You just have to dig sometimes.
To answer one of your questions (What is the most reliable?) I don't think it is fair or honest to say either g60 or vr6. The most reliable Corrado will be one that has been properly cared for. In other words, don't go buy a certain Corrado because it is cheap, or it has a cool body kit, lots of mods, etc. etc. Buy one because the seller has treated it right. (This means that he can show you maintenance records!)
The other piece of advice I'll give you is to start lurking on this forum, and the vr6 & g60 ones. They way, you can get a feel for what problems people are having, what people are doing with each car, how much it is costing, and what sort of people are driving each of the two models. Then, after you've gotten your knowledge built up a bit, you can start asking more specific questions that people will be able to answer. (not trying to be mean, but "which corrado should I get?" and "tell me all about Corrados" are just so vague and common that not many people will bother replying.)

I personally like the osar meyer weiner mobile... given she is a little squishy in the corners, the looks I get from women are unbelievable. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

If you could afford a Beemer than you might be able to afford driving a Corrado..
