try http://www.parts4vws.com
Re: someone tell me about dual round headlights... (VR6Ole)

thanks for the site. another company i saw is votex. they have dual rounds? any pics? does anyone know their website? thanks
also.. does it matter what type engine you have? how much for paint?
Re: someone tell me about dual round headlights... (sublime5254)

My car is the one on parts4vws under votex website. Here is the overview:
Dual round:
1. Hella, DE projector, clear or smoked. Price about $500.00
2. Project Zwo, clear or smoked. Price about $500.00
3. ABT, Clear $700.00
4. Votex, Clear $450.00
Hellas give out the best light, project zwo's are the same as hellas. Abt's look the best (but cost the most), votex is actually a european division of Volkswagen, these lights were an option in europe. However..with the votex, if you break a light, your screwed. Yes they have to be fitted because they were designed to fit european rebar, and they need to be body colored. Best place to buy Hella's and Votex is http://www.parts4vws.com, project zwo and ABT would be 1552 design.
Hope that helps.

you said votex need to be colored? are the hellas prepainted? thanks
Re: someone tell me about dual round headlights... (sublime5254)

None are prepainted, all have to be color coded, unless you like the black plastic surround and you paint the bars of your grill black. With a yellow GTi, this looks pretty good.

about how much does it cost to paint. 500 bucks for hella smoked... i did not see hella clear though. do they have clear hellas? and how much does it usually cost for paint? thanks

These are Hella Clears.

I think I paid $50 to have them painted, it's been a while.

Ray's ginster is probably the best with the unpainted Votex dual rounds, but here's mine unpainted.

AMS sells them for about 475, with everything you need.

BTW...these are the Abts.

wow thanks for the pics. i think i like the hellas the best... someone said they give off the best light too. now, with the headlights can you get rid of the DRL or will you always have them? also, where did you get yours painted at? any body shop? thanks
oh yea and one a silver gti do you think smoked or clear would look better? anyone have these lights on a silver gti? thanks

Re: someone tell me about dual round headlights... (sublime5254)

i think smoked Hellas would make a nice contrast with the silver. Any competent body shop can paint the surrounds and it'll cost around $75.
You'll need to get a euro headlight switch to get of the DRL's.
Here's a question for you guys... Do all 4 lights come on for the high beams or just the inners?
Re: someone tell me about dual round headlights... (christine)

Just the inners. To make them all come on, you need to remove relay 110 and jumper the contacts.

I think on a silver car, the clear Hella's would look the nicest. In my opinion that is. My friend has them on his silver gti with a Kamei grill and it looks sick!
I will be putting on my clear Hella's on Monday. I will post pics when I am done.

Hey Pat, can you elaberate on this point? I have been leaning towards buying a set of the Votex...does the same apply to the ABT lights?
Thanks,
