I have the Panasonic 6-disc changer (CX-DP610EUC) installed and using the stock HU. With the volume at at the lowest (one click up on the volume from minimum) the sound level seems high. this is a 2001 jetta with monsoon sound. it seems the sound level is high only using the cd changer. ayone else having similar problems? please help...

Re: sound level too high (kikkoman)

I have the stock changer in my GTI with monsoon sound and when playing a CD I encounter this same problem(unless it is a badly recorded self-made cd) and my fathers dealership told me that this is a normal condition.

Re: sound level too high (kikkoman)

I'm shooting in the dark here but very possibly there is a level output adjust on the cd changer. I would look at the changer very closely to see if there are two trimpots ( one for left channel and the other for the right channel ). I install pro sound gear and every outboard digital system has such trimpots. Maybe someone can track down a service/ install manual from Panasonic and find something in there. I had a changer in my '99 Golf ( non- monsoon ) and had no problem.
