quote:

Not too many people from OK. We need to get something going here. There's the local club, but they're mostly all air-cooled guys. Anyone have any ideas or know of anything currently going on?

I'd say that is an understatement! It surprises me that someone else from Oklahoma actually posted.
There are three clubs that I know of in Oklahoma, and I am pretty sure they are mostly aircooled. Just for reference though:
Volkswagen Club of Tulsa (which just had a show on the 22nd) http://members.home.net/vwclubtulsa/
The People's VW Club in Del City http://home.mmcable.com/peoplesclub/index.html
Norman Oklahoma Volkswagen Association http://www.flat4.net/
I've never gone to any of their meetings or whatnot, so I don't even know if they have some watercooled people, but it would be pretty cool if there was a club with watercooled people in it here in Okla. If you start one let me know.
sorry, wasn't clear in my first post. that's what i meant, that hardly anybody from OK posts. i've seen lots of people running around town in jettas, golfs and NBs. unfortunately, i don't think a whole lot of them are enthusiasts. i'm going to try and get in contact with more and more people and who knows, maybe we'll be able to get something going.
To Ryan and all Dirty South Dub Enthusiasts.....Oct 21st in Boerne, TX is the Oktoberfest show. Put on by VOSA......Had 42 H20-cooled dubs last year, lets see if we can beat that this year. Contact Dale Witt for more info at
Hey what's up. Houston here. Local UPsolute rep for the southern region too. Let me know if any of you guys are interested in being a distributor. I'm looking for some people in most every major market. We have an add coming out in European Car either Nov or Dec.
