SPEED channel!

Well after 10 min of watching speed channel I already miss speedvision. It happens to be an asscar show wich I have No intrest in. Why couldn't they just keep nascar on tnn and fox, let real racing go on speedvision? Now all I have to do is move on down south,start drinkin BUD,and chew tabacca, I rekkin' thats what Im'a gonna did.

I smell a flame coming from nascar fans already

I'm not a Nascar fan, meaning I don't follow it, but I don't know if I would go as far as to say it's not real racing. As long as I still get WRC coverage, and some LeMans, I'm a happy kid.

It's Daytona Speed Week, NASCAR's premier event... so it get's coverage. Deal with it. Last month it was wall to wall Dakar Rally in primetime because THAT was what was going on in motorsports that week. It's "Speed Channel" not "someonehasthenameiwant Channel."

I looked at the program guide
Who the heck is even home between 11:00 AM and 5:30 PM on a weekday, or even weekend for that matter. I work, I don't get home until 6:00 PM at the earliest anyway... I don't see much Nascar Coverage after 6:00 PM???
Totally Nascar comes on at 6:30 to 7:00 then Motorweek and other programs take over. Then at 8:00 or 9:00PM they show classic Nascar at which point I'm usually working out and getting some more sidework done. Prime time is generally what? 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM or so? Most of that time is filled with other programs than Nascar, including Legends and FIA WRC... I don't think it's as bad as some are making it out to be... unless all you do is stay home all day watching tv.

if some one is a t work now they should be working not looking at the vortex sorry I dont work I watch speed vision all day and play ps2 and surf the vortex. all I was trying to say is there are other channels that nascar was already on KEEP IT THERE! you cant get F1 on tnn or rallying on fox I dont want nascar on speedvision
and I think someonehasthenameiwant vision would be a nice name
the real race at daytona was last week.

NASCAR chooses who they want to broadcast their events. if it's ESPN2, TNN, ABC, CBS, FOX, Speed Channel, or whoever... it's their choice. it's your choice to watch it or not. i don't get CBS because i don't feel that in 365 days... there's anything worth paying $.99 a month for on CBS. ABC, NBC, and Fox have more interesting things on... so i pay for and get those.
if you don't like speed channel, start your own network.

Sounds like you have quite the life going for you

I am just fine with what they are doing. The "real race" at daytona last week was well covered. WRC coverage has expanded. Why would anyone be opposed to having NASCAR on a channel that covers racing It is racing afterall. You don't like it? Thats fine, I'm not a huge fan either. Doesn't mean it shouldn't be covered!

I wasn't trying to start a flame war... I know what you mean though. Nascar currently has enough coverage between FOX and others... but it doesn't really seem like Nascar has completely saturated Speed Channel (yet) But if you noticed, there's no longer boat racing or air shows as well as much less Infomercials. All three of those things I don't think belong on the channel either especially informercials on Turbo Cookers and Bowflex
... Now they are replaced by Nascar... I just don't think it's that bad (although it may get worse yet)

Dude the Bowflex is killer, I'd LOVE to have one of those things. Its the only personal exercise machine that Arnold Schwarzeneger recommends. Also it does actually work.

Damnit, you beat me to it. I have Tivo record anything with FIA or WRC in the title and it does just fine. Of course I've recorded the Swedish Rally about 15 times this week, but that's ok.
