speedo pics w/ 3.94 r&p

Lots of people ask. what rpms is the VR at at X speed w/ the 3.94 so I took some speedo pics at different speeds. I got a 97 glx with stock CCM tranny and a 3.94 final drive. (k&n dropin, giac chip, 268s and tt exhaust)

Yeah, i took the pics. No cars around, about a 2mile straight, car was rock solid stable. (i took the first pics 60-100 before i got the top speed run place wich was on another part of the x pressway)
Yep, a 6 speed should be nice, I hit the top speed quite fast in a mile or a bit more and is redline limited

have to power to hit 150+ definately, even though the power peak is at 6k it keeps pulling)
CEL is on cause I have no cat converter (yeah i know, racking up violations here hehe first for speeding then poluting hehe)

Dude, Thats just with cams and the normal mods? Do you even have the Giac cam chip? Damn, I am having a setup a litle better then done in May, I cant wait! However I will have peloquin and no 3.94...It'll be awesome though. Great pics, please becareful! Drive safe, ON A TRACK, peace

I have the regular v11 GIAC chip, got a V11 268 cam chip here but I think the regular v11 works better for the conditions here in PR so swapped it out for the regular one. I drag race on a track and also race Solo1 + roadrace. There were no cars in shight, only passed one while accelerating at about 100mph, after that car free.

What tracks do you run on? I am going to be running my gti at Limerock, Pocono, and maybe Englishtown's new road coure if it ever gets approved, looks kinda dangerous though. I will probably be tracking some other of our races cars with my dad at a wide variety of other tracks as well (summit point, atalnta, montreblank/toronto, watkins glen hopefully, maybe some other if we have time. But I really wanna get my gti on track. thanks. Peace

BTW: We put the preasure regulator in the car last night, and its still going Lean!!!. I guess the injectors are next

if been to 154MPH before I backed off with all the mods in my sig.it didn't stop pulling i got off it.
so aton73 your car diff can go atleast 160 with the power you have.

with a 3.94 and .76 fifth, i'm at 3400 at 80mph, and 6200 at 145 to let you know what a slightly taller fifth yields. the shift from 4th isn't even noticed

plus 800rpm doesn't equivalate to 20mph.. 3.67 @ 7300 rpm = 165
got video of that on brians vr6 turbo
