( 1995 Jetta 2.0 ) Alright i rebuilt my tranny, slapt in a new speed sensor, finally got the car on the road and have noticed that damn speedo and fuel gage just die and then come back to life(the speedo does it more than the fuel gauge )i'm on my second cluster, I've just got some wiring diagrams from my buddy and am going to tare into it tomorrow after college but wondering if anyone has heard of this?
P.S i don't think it's the speed sensor cause most of the time you can tap or hit the dash and it will come back to life, and looking at the diagrams there is some wire that links the two together somehow?

Re: Speedometer and fuel gauge problem HELP!!! (bonjrooksVR)

I'm having the same problem now on my GTi. What did you do to fix it. Banging on the dash pad is not working anymore, besides I don't think the dash appreciated it that muck. lol

It really started to go bad after 9, yes "9"
straight days of rain here in the Northeast.
