I checked out their website at http://www.spintechmufflers.com... and although the testimonials from racers (drag, roundy-round, & road racers) looks good, their technical explanation and graphics don't provide enough details for me. Anyone have any insights on this? Their "Pro Street" model is very compact... 4x6x12 !

<bump>I am the only Vortexer who surfs muscle car sites ? <bump> At any rate, the Spin Tech design, whatever it is, is not a straight thru design... so it's not for me

Found some more info... the muffs seem to be fabricated as solid as a brick and their theory apparently works since so many sprint car racers use 'em. However, Off Road magazine did a test of 'em on a 400 c.i. V8... and they were pretty cagey about reporting the sound. Actually, they said if they had to list a negative, it was the sound... which was reported as "not deep"... so, they'll probably not sound "deep" on a 1.8 or 2 liter motor, eh ?

I guess a big a$$ sprint car or ARCA racer have a big enough V8 where it still sounds good!
