Well I've been working hard to get my car ready for TOD this year and now that I'm not going (with the group), I figured I would post up some pictures of my ride and what I have done so far.
As of now the upgrade list is:
Dice Ipod adaptor
V1 hardwired into car
Run flat monitoring system
Flix Justice 18" wheels
Falken RT-615 tires
OEM slotted rotors with HAWK ceramic pads
Stoptek SS lines all around
HPA SHS coils
H&R rear sway
Yarrowsport rear stress bar
Rear seat delete
Evoms V-Flow with dry filter and "sock"
VF engine mounts (all three)
GIAC 93-oct (stock with the flash loader)
Magnaflow cat back exhaust
HELIX smoked projectors with HID's
Smoked side markers and blinkers
Euro front plate mount
Cupra lip (not pictured had a small run in with some "loose concrete")
and to come is a blacked out OEM grill (once I find one for sale.)
With what I got this past week, the Magnaflow Exhaust, V-flow and the VF mounts, I gotta say my car is a whole new animal!!! It's insanely torque-y and the butt dyno says that the v-flow whips the EIP CAI's a$$!! I just can't stop gunning it, which will get me into a lot of trouble (my wife has already made comments) but I just love it. I still want to keep going (thinking half cage and some 6 point harnesses) however right now, my car is finally getting to that happy point where I can sit back and enjoy her instead of sitting there thinking "well I need to replace that" or "I really want to get this".
I would like to thank Induktion Motorsports for getting me the mounts and intake and putting it all in for me (not to mention all the other countless things they got and installed for me

). I would also like to thank 20 squared and Yarrowsport for their group buys on the HELIX and stress bar respectively. And also to NGP Racing, who were kind enough when a minor part went missing (due to a shipment confusion), they tried to go out of their way to get me what I needed in a timely manor. Cars looks good, but not stealthy enough to be hiding eggs from

Plus Red is sooooo much faster stock

That garage is very vintage, I wish I had one period.
Question: can you not have your engine cover on for some reason? Just curious if the evoms prevents it? or something else maybe?

To that same effect - I think the motor mounts are not that far away for me either. I too just got her back from Induktion and I also must throw a shout out to them for transforming my car into what feels like a new animal. GIAC (to get off of EIP's SW) 93 program, bHPP and Hawk Ceramics installed yesterday along with a rear diff flush and oil change... Oh and FINALLY got the Green Top Coolant Sensor on.
My wife took me over when she got home yesterday and we cruised home after a lil dinner in ol' Arundel Mills Mall. I did not get to really push any limits as this was not a closed course

but I must admit I Ihad a good time driving home - and so did Judy. First words from her mouth when she got out of her GTI at home - "that was a lot of fun, baby!!"
Now get this - after a spirited drive home on the highway, any other day I would have averaged about 19-20 MPG doing what we were doing. Last night, the ride home average was 24.5 MPG. http://****************.com/smile/emarrow_left.gif THAT is a nice increase for a $4/gal summer that is on the way!!

A couple of years ago at this old job my boss kept calling me Speed Racer because I would get to job sites so quickly. He dubbed my car (20th at the time) the Mach 5. So I had ordered this plate in light of that and in the time it took to get to me, my 20th was totaled and I bought the .:R. I had forgotten about the plate since it took three weeks to get here from Germany, so I decided to put it on the .:R and continue with the nickname on my "new" car

Car looks real good. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif I just got the chrome Helix for my TR but waiting for HID drop in kit to install them. Is there really that much of a difference between the two CAI systems or is it the fact that you hear the v-flow much more because its so close to the compartment. Did you have both systems with same other mod set up?

The last two power mods were the v-flow and the VF mounts. The mounts definitely make the car sharper and more precise (with shifting and acceleration). However, the V-flow gives the car a lot more power throughout the powerband. Now that I have had the EIP CAI in for the past year and a half and now have the V-flow, I can definitly tell that the CAI suffered from a bottleneck around 6000-6500 RPM's and the car didn't "loose" power par-say but I did notice that the car started to level out on the torque. Now with the V-Flow, I have been going to redline and it's been solid power all the way though. In fact, I have been on the freeway in 6th and just flooring it passing people like nothing without shifting (going from 70-85 then back down).
I truly have become a believer in the V-flow and although the CAI does pull more "pure" air, the fact that the engine has to wait for all that "cool" air to tunnel it's way up to the engine, the V-flow just shovels it in without any wait. I do intend to mod the EIP CAI tube to give the v-flow more "cool" air from the lower grill (hey I spent the time to cut out those damn holes, might as well use them) which I believe is the best of both worlds!

Weird, I totally thought I answered your question

Anyways I had plans for the engine cover, I took it off started to paint it and then I realized I suck and painting.

So it's in my garage looking like crap because I was an idiot trying to do what professionals get paid for. It came off years ago and I just never put it back on because of that. Now I want to take off the valve cover and paint that (well not me painting it!!) but if I do that, I might as well do cams so I'm waiting for the $$ to do cams and polish up the engine a bit. Granted, I don't show my car anymore so it's not high on my list, but I do like to play with my car, so the cams are and I might as well kill two birds while I'm at it... in time I will clean up the engine bay, but for now, it's as is

Seriously, My engine cover is painted to match the car, done prifesisonally. I like it, but I'm watchign out for stock covers. Being red in the engine bay makes me feel a little younger than I am
