SRS vs. O bar?

Ive got a mkiii and im looking for a bar to help me keep my inside wheel planted while exiting corners. Im pretty set of this style of bar but cant really decide which one to get. I know Shine redisigned their bar to fix the crack issue. Bildon makes one that is similar and the "Obar" is ultra cheap but seems to be exactly the same as the others. What are the real differences between these bars (if any)

Id stay away from the O bar. Someone posted not too long ago about their problems with it squeaking because it didnt fit in the bea, well. I have the shine bar, but Im sure the bildon bar is similar in quality.
As far as the shine bar breaking its not because its designed to be used with their springs, its that a lowered car roll more which puts more stresson the sway bar which can break it. It could happen to any of the 3 bars. I havent heard of too many people with the shine bar that have broken them and lots of people have used it without the rest of their kit.

Ok right now im running an H&R cup kit. I know its lower than the SRS kit but would they warrenty it if it broke? Ive heard its the best? Anyone have the Bildon bar?

With the redesign of the SRS bar I wouldnt even think twice about it. They really beefed up the ends where the bolts mount to the beam which looked to be the weak part on the odelr versions of the bar. With that said they may not warranty the bar if you have any issues.

I have the o-bar and participated in a high performance driving school at NHIS yesterday. Needless to say I didn't have any issues with it, it worked as it was supposed to. Last weekend I participated in an auto-x and with the bar, the inside rear wheel was always up in a hard turn (it never did it without the bar). No squeaking issues here anymore, I fixed that problem weeks ago and haven't heard so much as hint of noise coming from the bar. I'm not saying that this bar is the best...it probably isn't. I'm just stating that I use the o-bar and have had track time with it, and it's still in one piece and working well. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Not having any direct experience with any of the three I can only hazard a guess that Shine's bar will be the heaviest, simply because of better materials and beefier construction. However, even the Shine bar will be lighter than most, if not all, standard ANTI-ROLL bars.

OK, I think I might go with the Bildon bar because of the extra savings. Ive never heard of the bildon bar having any problems. I know SRS redid their bar but if I can save a buck and still get good quality im all over it.

The SRSVW bar is lighter than the O-Bar.
The O-Bar is solid and the Shine bar is hollow. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I don know which is "stiffer". Here is what I do know for shure:
Matt O., the seller of the "o-bar" is a nice guy who simply copied the early shine bar design, and freely admits this. The shine bar is hollow and designed and manufactured by an engineer with years of VW racing behind him.
The choice is yours, I'm certain any of the bars will stiffen the rear axle beam.

i've had my o-bar in my car for over 2 years now. Used to squeak but i solved that with a little grease. I love this bar. I am going to be driving my car at a PCA DE event in September and I have total confidence in the o-bar.

ah, but can's one say that the added weight over the rear will help to balance the car

I doubt you'd notice a difference on the street.

No, in fact the lighter the better, as unsprung weight is an unfriendly dance partner. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
