Re: ss pulleys for Jetta IV? (bluebora2.0)

I have used them on other vehicles and they were a great mod. The problem here is they have not yet caught on in the import market and are still very expensive. Sit tight there is a guy on the 1.8 forum (which use the same pulleys as 2.0) that has somone making a set and is going to be under $200 if enough people buy in.

Re: ss pulleys for Jetta IV? (CARLJB)

first of all thanks for your reply. secondly, are you positive that the pulleys are exactly the same with the 1.8t and 2.0? also, if this guy is having them made, does that mean custom small production so they are liable not to be all exactly the same? or is he looking for large large production? anyway, if you have the name of the dubber, i can talk directly with him if you can't answer my ?s. thanks a lot!

Unorthodox racing makes pulleys for the jetta/golf 3. Not sure about the 4's. I haven't heard any reviews but they are about the best pulleys on the market whn it comes to other cars.

Re: ss pulleys for Jetta IV? (vdub-jet)

Unorthodox makes them for the MK4 2.0's too, and the gains are supposed to be about 8hp 10ft/lbs and a much easier and a much more easier reving engine, the downside is that it is $400+ for the set and they don't sell individual pulleys either (i.e. - crankshaft pulley) I had a pulley set on my other car and absolutely loved them, but I only paid about $130, I just cant justify $400+ for a set that yields such small results... money much better spent towards forced induction! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

A while back on club B5, (clubb5.com) they had a GB on the pulleys, they were something like $300 shipped... man I should have jumped on that... oh well, we can always put out a feeler on a new one
