I'm a starter/alternator teardown guy at a large independent auto electric shop here in Victoria. There are two ways to get the bushing out. You can either be
very careful with a small chisel and a small hammer, or you can use a tool which you probably don't have (and wouldn't need).
Don't scratch the housing where the bearing sits, or it'll be NFG!!! HTH
