I have a 92 passat syncro tranny, can I use my 02J starter? I have an 02J flywheel . The problems I seem to be running into are starter bolts? Which ones you think I can use?

I'm certain you can use the 02J starter, and probably the bolts too. For the life of me I can't remember what bolts I used on Elly, but I know I drilled out the threads on one of the holes in the block, so that it could tighten properly into the captive nut on the front mount. I'm pretty sure they were the bolts that came withthe 02J, because the heads are 18mm

Yup I used a 02J starter and bolts with a 02J FW on a 02a in the past so no reason you can’t
