Hey guys,
if you hold your wheel dead straight, does the car travel slightly to the left?
I old forrester did it, but i was ok with it cause it was an old car, but the fact that the polo's doing it is bugging me. I swear it didn't do it before i sent it in for repairs...
I'm also pretty sure it's not due to the camber of the road because i'd tried it in an empty flat parking lot...
anyone else notice this?

Mine"s the other way. When wheel is centred, car goes to the right. Weighting is also funny, looser to the left, when to the right the car turns more markedly and weighting is heavier. Have had it aligned twice, doesn't help.

Tt should be trivial to adjust by any suspension place. but you want to know why.
Is tyre wear normal on both fronts ?

Possibly an alignment problem... but then again, take into consideration that ALL roads are built with some camber--- this is to allow the water to drain off quickly!
Remember, it only takes hitting a pothole or gong over a *@(*#* speedhump the wrong way to start to knock the alignment out....

I've had alot of bad alignments over the years. Take it to a place that specialises in steering and suspension rather than a tyre place or try another shop.
