I have been looking at many threads and a few videos where people have mentioned that one repair option for a tach buzzing and the speedo not working is to buy new stepper motors or replace the cluster entirely with a different one.

My Mk3 is pretty low miles so I would prefer to leave the cluster and just repair it, but I can't for the life of me find the stepper motors anywhere. Everyone basically says "check ebay" or "buy new stepper motors" ... except eBay does not have any listings from what I can tell? I am trying to search for Mk3 stepper motors or VW stepper motors, they all come up as Mk4 or higher.

Any help would be appreciated, it would be nice to see my own speed without my phones GPS.

Thanks! The latest listings that are still active don't even mention VW so no wonder I couldn't find the right one. I will order two of those up

Installed them over the weekend and re-flowed the solder on the connectors at the same time to make sure I don't have future problems with that, cluster is working great now and I can finally see my speed and RPM! Way better than putting in a new cluster when I have a car that has low KM's, it would be pretty pricey to find one that only has 186000KM or less on it.
