Stock 6 Disc Changer with Aftermarket HU???

I know that CD changer posts are getting kind of annoying but I havent seen too many topics on this. Does anyone know if I can use my stock changer with an aftermarket HU? I know that most likely I would have to use a Panasonic HU but maybe not. I tried searching for topics like this but just got more confused

from anything anyone's ever told me...........no.............if you find out otherwise tell me...............i would love to use mine with the new Alpine deck i'm getting
