I have just installed a set of KYB gas shocks in my car and the left rear is making a noise when i go over bumps. The shocks have a ring that fit into a groove and that particular one was a pain to get it to stay there...The guy who put them on said that the ring can move and make the shock to bottom out...they worked good for a while...is that possible and did anyone had any expirience with that? I believe the shocks are covered under the manufactures' warranty but how do i follow up? I only had them for 2 months...any help will be greatly appreciated...
Re: Strange noise from the rear end...any opinions (estus)
is it a sqeaking? i have a Spax VSX sport kit, and mine squeaks too. i think it's either the spring cap or the dust boot making the noise. it doesn't bother me a ton.

If it is squeaking, take off the top shock nut again, and take out the bushing. through some grease on both sides, and it will reduce squeaking. Helped on my cup kit
