okay. i have some suggestions for you but others will hopefully chime in and offer some other insight.
i am on my 3rd set of strut mounts since installing an aftermarket suspension on my car.
first they went on my H&R + Billstein Sport Combo,
then on my Koni Coilovers...twice.
so now i'm on SPC Camber Kit which is a direct replacement for the strut mounts. I would suggest going this route for added security that they won't blow in the future.

also, some will tell you that the strut mounts are easy to get to and shouldn't take but 30 minutes to install.
i disagree and we had to remove the entire front suspension which was a pain in the rear.
