That's where I GOT MINE!!!!
Its "in transit" as we speak. (was shipped Monday) It should be here next week.
Good luck finding one...It took me three months and 15 different people before I had any luck (started looking in October). Finally, I found a used one, and bought it from a friend...for 25 Euros...

whats the poiint of having one mirror shorter then the other??? You guys try to hard to be like euro. It looks gay!
Get some DTM mirrors if you want small, or M3 style if you want smoother ones.

just that side is shorter... the other side is the same length.. or atleast should be.. some of the A4's i drove here in NA were like that..

Early US Passats had small right side mirrors like that. I'd imagine there's an equivalent left side from the UK and thus you can pull it all out of the Euro partsbin.
Functionality? Well, I know RUF puts smaller fenders on their 911 turbos, to cut down drag at top speed. Perhaps that might work here too, but who's topping out on US roads anway, and it MIGHT buy you a half a mph.
Then again, I've seen a lot of dumb mods. It doesn't stop people from doing them though. I think this one is subtle. I wouldn't do it, but it looks alright to me. I'd do it over a big horkin wing on the trunk.

my old 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300E had side mirrors of different sizes. it actually makes sense too. the mirror on the drivers side is square shaped to allow good all around visibility. the passenger side one wasn't as tall but was longer. this allowed for better wide angle viewing.

My reason for getting this mirror is simple, its unique (unlike the fifty thousand other dubs, as seen here!), its not a mod you can just "order" from some company in California, and I think it looks really cool. I'd rather have someone ask me "why's your mirror smaller?" instead of having to hear "I have that P'wzo grill too"...Not to flame ya'll, but to dump your worthless opinions just becasue somone whats to do something no one else has done...eat it...I'm sure if there was a "GB", you'd be all over it like flys on schit...and if I want DTM or M3 (again, like tons of others), I might as well slap on bodykit and paint my car silver too...
I also think there is a way to wire it in to be "folding". I know this is a feature they have standard in Germany where the pass. side mirror folds in automaticlly (becasue of the super small parking spaces). I'm working on getting more info on that...I'm sure if I have luck, I'll post it...

I got it from a friend...The mirror is painted "raven blue pearl effect", so the only mod needed is that the cap needs painted cool white to match my car!!! That's it...evilveedub... Post pics ASAP when you get it...

the Mk4 Polo from euro mirrors are "stubby" and fit the golf/jetta mk4s -- only car that you can get them from for both drivers and passenger sides (mk4 golfs/jettas are only passegner side)

The 25Y GTI also has smaller mirrors, not quite as small as the J-spec ones but smaller than the Normal Golf and Jetta IVs
