Door latch went bad Saturday morning.
Had to disconnect battery so that I wouldn't
kill it with the done light being on all the time.
Bought a new latch today that actually works but I have a problem.
I hook up power, alarm goes off non-stop. I cant seem to turn the
key to disarm the alarm. Did I buy a bad latch or what? Do they
have to be year specific (Came out of an 81. Car is 95).
All of the electrical bits are hooked up correctly. I had to rig
the "air line thingie" so that worked and it still goes nuts.
Help me.

Hold the hood sensor for the alarm down then connect the negative battery terminal. You will get one arming beep acknowledging the alarm. You can also put the key in the driver side tumbler and lock and unlock the car when the alarm is going off.
I would use a tie wrap to hold the hood sensor down connect everything, arm/disarm the alarm then cut the tie wrap off. Did it this past weekend when I replace my battery. Worked perfectly.

So basically, hold the alarm pin thingie down, hook up the battery,
then attempt to disarm the alarm?
What about the key that wont turn?

When the alarm starts to go off, try unlocking it from the passenger's side door.

lol man i had the same problem this past week

My trunk latch is busted, and my driver door is funky - only handle with a lock too. My mechanic activated the alarm and couldn't get it turned off cuz the trunk being busted. The ignition remained locked and I had to get it towed the the stealership and have them deactivate it. It cost me a little over 270 for the whole fruggin process

My locks are still goofed up too. It would cost more than 2oo to get those fixed to by them

Well the locking mechanism works just fine.
Havent hooked it up to the power yet but I
seriously hope it works...
