Does anyone else have any problems with a really loud clunk in the front of their cabby when hitting any kind of bump. It sounds to me like the spring coming out of the perch and slamming back into place. It usually happens when hitting a pothole (there are so many this time of year that they are completely unavoidable).
Is there any way to fix this? Stiffer springs/shocks? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Suspension Clunk (maximumVW)

Your strut bearings are worn, if you can place a finger's width between your bearings and your strut housings, they are worn, typical effect would be the clunk you hear on a pothole or speedbump. be very careful, as with any suspension work as the struts are still under pressure and the springs as well, if you choose to do this yourself

sure enough, time to replace the strut-cap bearings, usually about 19.00 each aftermarket.
When you do this, its gotta be time to replace the two lower ball joints, and inspect your inner, and outter tie rods when you're in there.
usually when one goes, there is related damages. they do wear out.
