Someone has to know.. This is my 3rd VW, all have had the same issue, which is winter approaching, the trunk's lock gets stuck.
Good thing is, I have a Golf now, so it's easier to open from inside. However I would like to know how to prevent it from sticking so I can open it with my key again !

Thanks, but do I have to take the lock out, how hard is it ?, what do you guys use to lubricate it ?

nah you shouldnt have to remove it. just open the trunk, remove the cover (its a golf right?) and clean with brakleen or the like. relube with a sticky grease ala white lithium
