just want some opinions on what you guys think i should go with. i have a 97 gti vr with 176400 (just hit that today). because i have so many miles i was thinking going with the high milage but from what i hear full synthetic is the best out there. what do you guys think

if i were you, i'd stick with whatever oil allowed that engine to make it to 176k.

222k on mine, Never ran anything but Synthetic Blend.

Corstarr has a point. I run Mobile 15/50 synthetic and have 152k??

Castrol Syntec for 5/40 for 120,000 trouble free... can't beat the cleaning ability of synthetic, plus it's less prone to breaking down or slush under extreme temperatures
