how do i take out the emblem in the front grill so i can paint it?....and i took out the grill before and well.....that was the biggest pain in the arse ever!!....and i scratched up my bumper doing it...anywayz any input is very much appreciated..thanks

You need to take off the grill to pop it out.

If you cant take off your from grill with out scratching up your bumper(cant see how you scratched it up, the grill is pretty easy to remove, both on my jetta and golf). I think you should just let it be, because you will have to remove it again, to get to the back of it, to pop out the emblem. Just my .02

it was putting the grill back in that scratched it up....the little tabs scratched the hell outta it cause i had to hold the grill while trying to put the little plastic things around the metal pin for the hood release!

its sooo f'in frustrating!

If you have taken the grill off, then you can remove the front emblem. It pops right out. It is pretty simple.
