Professional rubber sommelier, Tanner Foust, is having a very busy month of May. In just four weeks he will have competed in three different racing series, in three different cars, in three different locations.

It all started last weekend in Georgia, when Foust participated in Formula Drift’s weekend of tomfoolery at Road Atlanta. There, he and his Formula D Passat partook in nonsense such as this:

Then, earlier this week, he revealed the livery of his brand new Beetle GRC, set to hit the race track in Phoenix next weekend for the Red Bull Global Rallycross season opener. This year’s Beetle is much darker, with black covering more of the vehicle.

Here it is, my new #BeetleGRC livery for 2016! So excited for this GRC season! #VARX — Tanner Foust (@TannerFoust)

Foust is racing for Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross alongside former F1 driver, Scott Speed, also in a Beetle GRC. Both drivers have enjoyed their share of success in Red Bull GRC. Foust has more driver’s championships (two), but Speed won his only driver’s championship last year, and so might have momentum on his side.

The following weekend, Foust will be back on a rallycross circuit, but this time in Europe. He’ll be racing the first of his two events for Volkswagen RX Sweden in the FIA’s World Rallycross Championship. This first race will be at Lyden Hill in the UK (May 27-29) and his second race will be in Estering, in October.

Foust will race in the Polo RX Supercar, which, in the hands of Johan Kristoffersson and Anton Marklund has had a quick, if difficult first two rounds this season.

In both rounds, in Portugal and Germany, Kristoffersson was knocked out of an important race following strong performances. The team are looking to turn a corner, and will get a chance this weekend, when they race in Belgium.
