Here is the situation...
the car will running "funny" for a few seconds and then be fine.
when the car runs "funny" it boogs down, and when you give it more gas it does nothing until it (catches) and the its a burst of power. The CEL came on once but i have had it read, because I'm poor. This also happens while driving, then there is a sudden loss of power and the car goes no where, and it idles fine. But if you give it gas and reach more the 2000 rpms the car dies. After turning the car on/off a few times while giving it gas the car runs fine..(sometime back fireing)

Having the same issue myself. I haven't checked the codes after the CEL came on, but the symptoms are exact. I have been told that it could be from MAF, TB, O2 sensor (dependant on sound), fuel pump going bad, etc. There was a few threads awhile back titled 'Corrado Bucking' and 'The Bucking Bronco Syndrome' or what have you. Geez, wasn't aware that there was that many threads! Wow, well there should be a ton of info there for ya. I will be troubleshooting my bucking problem again this weekend... Best of luck to us both

Thanks for your help... I made a list of the things i will try when i have some free time...
I will start with cleaning the MAF sensor and checking vacuum lines and then go from there...

when i had that happen it was always my cam position sensor. i had to replace it about every year. it always lost power when i was at highway speed and was like the engine died, then came back to life afterwards.

just had the same problem, but fixed it. in your air filter box there is a mass air flow sensor. its probably dirty or even broken the prongs are very fragile. used from a junk yard $35 / new about $125 and up http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

when was the last time you replaced your fuel filter?
there could be allot of junk in it
good luck.......do you know some one with a VAG it will give you a clue with what is going on

Fixed the car.. the was a vacume line that was broke/brittle coming from the EGV valve, and i changed the plugs and wires. NO more bucking...
