I purchased a new Lightened and balanced flywheel from NGP about 1.5 years ago and it has no mark for TDC just a 6 degree timing mark so when do a belt I can get it close but it still seems off I pulled the #1 plug out and checked to see where TDC was witht the #1 cylinderand marked the flywheel to where it appears to be at TDC but it still seems off

Re: TDC question (eurotrashrabbit)

I have the same problem with my unmarked flywheel. It seems that on the later flywheels the TDC mark should be behind the 6deg timing mark, right on the front face of the recess where the next flywheel bolt should go. It's hard to explain, but easy to show... Your crank pulley should also have a TDC mark as well, facing up at TDC. Best bet would be to pull it and compare to a marked flywheel and actually make a nice mark.
