i was wondering if the cats are the same for both gas and diesel, both cars are 1995, one aba, one tdi? i'm wondering cuz i got a complete exhaust for the 95 (aba is going to a 83 jetta) and my little bro just got a 95 tdi. so anyone know?

I don't believe they are the same.

Diesel cats are usually an oxidation bed catalyst

Not the same. If you put a gasoline-engine catalyst on a diesel-engine car, it will clog in no time flat.
