TDI Downpipe for 1.8T????????

Before this spins off wildly...that's an APR downpipe pictured.
So get it outta your head that you'll get something that nice from the OEM bin.
As far as TDI downpipe...dunno. I think you may be mixing it up w/the TDI midpipe, which bolts up. Search on it. Discussed over and over and over and over.

So are you all APR is doing is re-selling the TDI down pipe??? Similar to the ECS Race N75 vs. 'H'N75

I know it is APR...I only put it there cuz so many people will just skip over a thread if there aren't any pics to look at. It is nearly impossible to get help on the Mk4 forums. Cuz if it is not a pic thread noone looks at them.
I am not confusing it with the mid pipe, I know that the TDI mid pipe eliminates the resonator. I just hear alot of people stating that they use an OEM TDI DP on their 1.8T. I was curious to see why?

EXACTLY why I posted what I posted. First reply is someone thinking that the APR downpipe (pictured only to draw in peope to posts w/pictures) is a shined-up TDI downpipe. Lovely.

I have seen it on several forums. Can't say which, cuz I can't remember. It came up in conversation today . I know absolutely nothing about this, if it is even possible. I have heard people doing it. I just wanted to know more about it, hence the "???????????" I have never seen one done. I just want to know. It's really not that important. I know a fair amount about modding cars. This is just something I have heard of but never explored. ( I DO KNOW ABOUT THE MID-PIPE MOD

Ok sorry, I never heard of putting a TDI downpipe on a 1.8T, I will delete the info than...
I am thinking people are mixing up the DP and the MP...

They may be referring to the Mid pipe as a DP. If that is the case then I need no further info as I know what the mid pipe swap does.

Don't think it's possible since the TDI has a different turbo (Garrett VNT-15) while the 1.8T has a KO3.

it's been done, but i know what the advantages are. there arepeople always posting that they have a tdi mid-pipe in this forum

For the 2 people that seem to think that people are using TDI downpipes...please cite something other than, "I've heard..." and "people say...".
Cause if you search, "TDI downpipe" in this forum...even in the archives...the only hit you get is a 2-reply piece that is answered "You're confusing it w/the TDI midpipe".

THIS WAS THE INFO I WAS LOOKING FOR! Thanks for your input. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif I wasn't confusing the 2 although some people may have been. I know the dif between a DP and MP. The above post was all I needed to see.
